Checkout drop-offs were high, navigation was confusing, and mobile shoppers struggled.
GreenCart’s outdated e-commerce store was holding back growth. Customers found it difficult to browse products because of cluttered navigation and poor search functionality. Checkout was unnecessarily complex, with multiple steps and redundant form fields, which caused over 40% of carts to be abandoned. Mobile shoppers had an even tougher time: product images weren’t optimized, buttons were too small to tap easily, and slow load times frustrated users. Eco-conscious buyers wanted a seamless shopping journey but often gave up mid-process. Analytics showed repeat purchases were declining while new visitors rarely converted, signaling that a complete redesign was urgent.

Checkout was reduced to just two steps, with autofill for returning users and express payment options like Apple Pay and Google Pay. On mobile, we introduced fully responsive layouts, compressed images for faster loading, and touch-friendly components. The brand’s sustainability values were reinforced visually with earthy color schemes and eco-focused storytelling. Within weeks of launch, conversions improved by 34%, bounce rates dropped significantly, and repeat customer engagement steadily grew.
